EUHEDRAL TROPICAL
In a continuing exploration of the notion of tropical design, Euhedral Tropical looks into crystal geometry and materiality native to the tropics. Using local sourced wood from Puerto Rico and vibrant color combination reflection of the tropics energy, each table is used as a separate set of modules, which can connect in any side to create a larger surface area to attend different needs. In essence it is a coffee table broken down geometrically to become a set of module, which can interconnect easily (similar to crystal geometry) to accommodate more space when needed.
“The form is a consequence of the functionality behind the table. Many times we wish we could break tables into parts to provide greater flexibility and options depending in multiple needs. The materiality and color are a result of our expansion of the concept of tropical design, in this specific case the tropical characteristic rely in the materiality and the decorative aspect without sacrificing the functional aspect of the table.”
